Your health first!
Greenstone Retreat is much more than just accommodation and camping, it is the retreat a more ways than one.
A real passion for me is Hatha Yoga and I have been practicing daily for approximately 10 years. My history has been in personal training and massage for special populations and injuries. Although I am out of practice with massage, I am happy to help anyone with their fitness and well being goals.
Yoga is a huge part of my life and I have been teaching regularly since 2017. My goal is to open the door for beginners and intermediate men and women to experience a more traditional yoga style incorporating the 8 limbs of Raja yoga. My classes include connecting with your body and inner world, some movement and stillness, balance, strength, flexibility, meditation, breathing exercises and relaxation. After a class with me I hope you drift out with new insights into where you are, what you need and a deep feeling of relaxation and well being. I enjoy the challenge of working with mixed ability classes welcoming a full range of ages and abilities from teenager to elderly.
Yoga study for me will never end, and I am only at the beginning of my journey. I am currently studying yoga teacher training 350 hours via distance learning with My Health Yoga and I love this in-depth and adaptable learning style.
During the winter months I am teaching from my home a few times a week to a mixture of locals and guests. It’s a warm and cosy space with a maximum class size of 7. This is a wonderful group size to allow me to connect with each person, make adjustments where needed and keeps it relaxed. There is also my dog called Scout who sometimes joins in to make everyone laugh.
Deep tissue, relaxation or Indian head Massage is available with prior booking with the wonderful Sheena, minimum 1 hour during the winter months.
On Mondays Elisa is here offering Indian head massage or Reflexology on a donation basis. Please get in touch to find out more.
During the summer months I, along with a team of healers, teachers and therapists work from a large tent at the back of the property until the yoga studio is built called 3 Oaks. This rejuvenating space can be found within an airy pavilion amidst the tall trees of Kumara’s most idyllic hideaway, a place where wanderers are equally free to encounter like-minded souls or enjoy a few moments in splendid isolation, which is the perfect setting for stepping outside your overwhelming life.
Are you in need of some body care? Is it time to put yourself first? If so, check out the event calendar on facebook and book your next visit to 3 Oaks @ Greenstone Retreat now by calling Kate at 021 0811 3396 or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
I look forward to seeing you!
